” I want to paint the air in which the bridge, the house and the boat are to be found – the beauty of the air around them, and that is nothing less than the impossible.” This is what Claude Monet used to tell about his idea of landscape drawing.!

In the last session we experienced  effective landscape drawing where our mentor was collaborating art-philosophy-logic together to create a strong desire on students to learn more about what they are drawing.

Mentor was giving us more tips and tricks while drawing a landscape. And the touch of art philosophy with that which happened us to get a effective landscape drawing session

An effective landscape drawing session

Starting from imaging a unicorn or a dinosaur to adding in our landscape drawing, he was teaching us to get the proper elements we should collect while drawing and effective landscape live.

Points to keep in mind while drawing the landscape drawing:

  • distance-depth-perception
  • Foreground-middle ground-background
  • Details of tonal range
  • Surrogate way to represent live visual to canvas
  • Strong light and shadows

He says “Observe and absorb” first to get a effective landscape drawing. He adds, 1/3rd of thought process should go on while creating an art before it gets colored/inked over canvas or a paper!
