Our professional Chittara art courses—one of very few in Bangalore—have been crafted to help you gain exposure to the art form and learn it in its most authentic form in the present day.

We have two professional Chittara art courses:
The Foundation in Chittara Art course is a beginner-friendly, 2-month, non-certified course that is apt for people who are curious about the Chittara art form and want to know what it’s all about.
Certification in Chittara Art course is a 3-month, certified course aimed towards people who want to move even further with the Chittara art form and want to learn it in depth.

History of Chittara Art
Historically, women of the Deevaru community practised this art form. Chittara Murals would traditionally be painted on the outer walls of houses on auspicious occasions. All the stories, characters, and motifs of Chittara murals represent the traditional Indian culture.
Chittara murals are drawn with straight lines that are constructed symmetrically, requiring an understanding of ratios and proportions. This folk art was and still is a part of their day-to-day life. It was never a profession, but a practice that has artistic and socio-cultural value.

What if I miss a class?
We may compensate 1 session in your term.
Do I get refunds?
As per our institutional policy, we don’t allow the refund. If you have paid the fees and will not be able to attend the classes, you can take a break by sending the mail to us. Read more on the refund policy here.
