Professional Course in Madhubani Painting But Authentic!
The Rich Legacy of Madhubani Painting
Madhubani paintings designs are supposed to have originated during the Ramayana when King Janaka commissioned artists to depict his daughter Sita’s wedding. It is also believed that the people of Mithila decorated their homes with intricate wall paintings during the wedding, which laid the foundation for Madhubani art.
In 1934, a massive earthquake struck Bihar, toppling house walls. During an inspection in Madhubani district, British officer William G. Archer “discovered” these paintings on the newly exposed interior walls of homes.
