Professional Course in Mandala Art But Authentic!
History of Mandala Art
The mandala first appeared during the first century BCE in India, presenting itself through Buddhist art. Over the next couple of centuries, Buddhist missionaries travelled on the Silk Road throughout Kashmir, the Hindu Kush regions, and parts of Pakistan and Afghanistan to bring the Buddhist religion to other societies. Their mandalas came with them.
Though rooted in Buddhism, mandalas soon became present in Hinduism and other religious practices. Painters of the spiritual craft were often pious laymen, who were commissioned by a patron. They worked seated on the floor with a painting propped on their laps or in front of their crossed legs.
