Being a very dedicate Student of  Pencil And Chai School Of Art, Nikhilesh Shaw along with his friend Asha Bhat  shares their experience of “Chitra Santhe” an art event happened on this month beginning…

Chira santhe The art (af)fair of Bengaluru

Chitra Santhe is a one-day art festival organised by Chitrakala Parishat, where more than 1500  artists from all over India come together to showcase their work on the side pavements of Kumara Krupa Road in Bengaluru. The fest was no less a rejoicing moment for many art lovers but it also paved the way for many artists to interact with fellow artists and to build their network.

Luckily I got a chance to share a stall with my friend this year and I will use this opportunity to thank Pencil and Chai and all the people who have visited the stall and appreciated my work.  The main focus of this Santhe is getting the artists and upcoming artists on a single platform to demonstrate and showcase their creativity..As usual, this time also the art fest witnessed huge crowd, attracted approximately 200000 people, But not too many sales happened, according to artists participating in the Santhe.

It was an amazing experience for me, to have a stall with so many great artists all over the country (of course I felt inferior after seeing their work) The valuable suggestions/tips for my work,of course appreciation from the crowd and the Pencil And Chai’s mentors really means a lot..! Thank you Chitra Santhe and Pencil And Chai for the greatest opportunity ! 🙂
